Bridget Millich Kuchta
Bridget Kuchta is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) with over 20 years experience helping WNY families overcome breastfeeding difficulties. Bridget was certified as an IBCLC in 1999. She provided lactation care in the areas first pediatric lactation program, as well as in a local hospital. Bridget also has many years of experience working in community based lactation clinics. Her 20+ years of experience have given her the opportunity to work with mothers and babies in all phases of lactation including prenatal education, the golden hour and immediate post-partum period, newborn, infant and toddler period and weaning. This wide range of experience is especially important to our mothers at Care Connection, who come to us from all ages and stages of breastfeeding. Bridget is a career Lactation Consultant, which means her entire practice has focused solely on breastfeeding. This experience has allowed her to amass thousands of clinical hours in direct patient care. She enjoys speaking at area lactation conferences and presenting to medical residents. Bridget is past president of the WNY Breastfeeding Network and former Area Professional Liaison Leader for an international breastfeeding organization. She began her career in Lactation after her own difficult breastfeeding journey and understands both the clinical and emotional side of working with patients. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her two children and Labrador Retrievers.

Suzanne has been a Clinical Assistant Professor of Nursing at the University of Buffalo for 35 years, educating nurse practitioners, nurses and medical students about the positive impact breastfeeding has on the health of infants, mothers and society. Her clinical expertise and commitment to breastfeeding has helped her assist mothers and teach families about breastfeeding at the Care Connection for over 6 years as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). In the past 5 years she has worked with the United Way on a CDC grant to improve breastfeeding rates and exclusivity in the Western New York area by educating Obstetrical and Pediatric practices about the importance of breastfeeding. Personally she is a wife, mother of two daughters (and 2 wonderful sons- in -law), and grandmother to Sawyer. Suzanne’s passion is empowering women to embrace pregnancy and breastfeeding as a natural gift of life.
